SECRET OF LONGEVITY

A passer by noticed an old lady sitting on her front step.

"I could'nt help noticing how happy you look.What is the secret of your such a long,happy life?"

"I smoke 4packets of cigarettes every day,"she said".

Before I go to bed I smoke a nice big joint.Apart from that ,I drink a whole bottle of wine every week and eat only junk food.

On weekends I pop a huge number of pills and do no excercise at all."

"This is absolutely amazing at your age.How old are you."
Asks the passer

"twenty four." she replies!!!

Health Tips

1. While taking bath, it is better to use warm water. Hot water or cold water may cause some problems later, hot water bath during rainy days may give temporary relief, similarly cold water bath during summer may be pleasant at that time but extreme hot and severe cold water will create health dis-orders later. Warm water will be helpful during all seasons. Water should never be poured first on the head, it should be started with leg and step by step it should be brought to head.

2. During holidays, some people take bath after taking some food. This may cause some cramp in stomach and not advisable, so it is better to eat after taking bath or may be after 30 minutes after eating some thing.

3. Breakfast should be a balanced diet with all nutritional items, skipping the breakfast or having some junk food liek pizza etc., for breakfast should be avoided.

4. Lunch should be taken at regular times, atleast some biscuits may be taken if the lunch is delayed. Substituting with Coffee or Tea will increase acidity in the stomach and the body may not absorb lunch if taken late or after Tea or Coffee.

5. Daily one fruit like banana will help to improve the body immune system to fight against various diseases. Skin becomes shiny if papaya and banana fruits are taken regularly. It can also cure for constipation issues. Fruits remove toxic elements in the body so people who take fruits as part of their diet look younger than those who do not take it. 6. Dinner should be as light as possible. Digestion load is reduced and it helps the brain to rejuvenate other organs if the digestion job is completed. It is always better to finish dinner well before 3 hours of hitting the bed.

Diet Tips

1. Lot of people would like to stay slim, maintaining fitness after the age of 40 is more important to fight against several diseases. It is better to switch over to Sugar free substitutes instead of sugar.

2. Non-veg eating should be avoided or atleast reduced after the age of 50.

3. Regular walking is a must. It must be a brisk one.

4. Regular master health checkup may be done once in a year and BP must be checked at regular intervals.

5. Avoid taking snacks or any food items while watching TV, one may not know, how much he is eating if mind is concentrating on TV serials while eating. This will add extra fat in the body and will increase obesity.

6. Food must have enough fibre content to increase stamina and must include green leaves every day.

7. Plenty of Water should be taken, may be on an average 8 Litres/day. This will reduce stone formation in kidney as well as improve skin beauty as constipation is avoided. Diabetic patients may take fruit juices in consultation with doctors as the sugar content of the fruits may increase sugar problems.

8. Milk may be taken in place of Tea or Coffee after the age of 50.
